CAVITATION DAMAGE AVOIDING OPERATING METHOD OF WATER WHEEL OR PUMP WATER WHEEL, CAVITATION DAMAGE AMOUNT PRESUMING METHOD, AND ITS PROGRAM

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating method wherein generation of a cavitation damage in a water wheel or a pump water wheel is avoided, and also to provide a presuming method for the cavitation damage and its program. PSOLUTION: A database for the cavitation intensity I in each operating condition is previously prepared on the basis of a impact test using an actual machine of water wheel, its simulated model, or a similar one thereto. The evaluation of the cavitation intensity in the operating condition of the water wheel is made with this database. Accordingly the amount of cavitation damage of the water wheel is presumed, and the water wheel is operated, while cavitation damage is avoided. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
