PURPOSE: A potentiostatic and electrochemical method for preventing cavitation-erosion damage of aluminum alloy in seawater is provided to prevent damage due to stress corrosion cracking and hydrogen embrittlement by employing ICCP(Impressed Current Cathodic Protection) in a cavitation-erosion environment. CONSTITUTION: In a potentiostatic and electrochemical method for preventing cavitation-erosion damage of aluminum alloy in seawater, optimal dynamic protective potential under a cavitation environment is maintained at -2.0 to -1.7V in order to reduce damage due to cavitation and remove erosion caused by electrochemical treatment.
