WOODEN WHEELCHAIR, WOODEN WHEEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF WOODEN WHEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wholly wooden wheelchair and wooden rear wheels which have the quality of feeling and touch of wood to relieve a user's mind and are excellent in design, and a manufacturing method of the same. ;SOLUTION: A wheelchair main body, rear wheels 9, 9a and driving wheels 10 and 10a attached on the wheels 9 and 9a are all manufactured of wood. Also, to assemble the wheels 9, 9a, thin wooden plates are laminated and are glued with an adhesive for woodwork, limbs 22 are attached, and tubeless tires 23 are attached on the limbs 22. Braking levers 15 and 15a are attached on hand-pushing handles 5 and 5a of the wheelchair so that brake can be put on the wheels 9 and 9a by brake drums 32 and brake shoes 34. By this configuration, coupled with its functions, the quality of feeling and touch of wood relieve the user's mind, and the wheelchair is also excellent in design.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
