PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjusting mechanism for improving the depth accuracy in an object, a high three-dimensional measuring method by a zooming mechanism, and an apparatus for the method.;SOLUTION: In the accurate three-dimensional measuring method in focus adjustment and zoom adjusting mechanisms, the zoom adjusting mechanism comprises a procedure for varying a zooming value according to the control signal in a processing means, the focus adjusting mechanism comprises a procedure for varying a focus depth value according to the control signal in the processing means, the imaging means comprises a procedure for imaging a subject via the zoom adjusting and focus adjusting mechanisms, the processing means comprises a procedure for setting the zoom adjusting mechanism in a direction for increasing or decreasing a sampling position at each fixed interval and at the same time allowing the focus adjusting mechanism to focus the subject at each sampling position of the zoom adjusting mechanism to extract the pixel value of a pixel to be noticed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
