PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of managing a storage device without depending on the kind of an interface and the kind of the storage device, even when different kinds of storage devices exist on a computer network.;SOLUTION: A resource managing program for converting a managing request imparted from a user into a setting request according to the kind of the storage device is provided on the computer network. Information for showing the kind of the interface of the computer network is added to address information on the resource of the storage device. The address information is stored in managing object information held by the resource managing program.
