PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm for electric signal-sound transducer, especially a diaphragm for a speaker with a small/ medium aperture having high cost performance capable of both the material cost and the manufacturing cost and attaining characteristics such as rigidity and durability of a prescribed level or over.;SOLUTION: A diaphragm 15 is manufactured by forming and curing PEN fiber cloth to have a prescribed shape, the REN fiber cloth having a major component of polyethylene naphthalate to which a generic baking paint or an epoxy group resin solution is impregnated. As the paint/solution impregnated to the base cloth material, the generic baking paint or the epoxy group resin solution having the high storage stability similar to that of the generic baking paint is used to lower the frequency of preparation job for the impregnation paint. The rigidity and durability of the PEN fiber cloth employed for the base cloth material comparable to those of glass fiber cloth or high elasticity fiber cloth can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
