Phrase boundary probability calculation device and phrase boundary probability utilization connected speech voice recognition device

PURPOSE: To facilitate the utilization of phrase border information for speech recognition by finding the phrase border probability of an input speech at each time and further to improve the speech recognition precision by utilizing the phrase border probability for the speech recognition. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a pitch analyzing means 3 which calculates a time series of pitch feature quantities of the input speech and a pitch pattern model memory 7 which stores one or plural pitch pattern models generated by modeling the time series of pitch feature quantities of an accent phrase; and a phrase border probability calculating means 9 inputs the time series of pitch feature quantities and the START time and end time of a pause section, calculates the pitch forward probability and pitch backward probability of the time series of the pitch feature quantities by using a pitch pattern model and calculates the accent phrase border probability of the input speech at each time ON the basis of those pitch forward probability and pitch backward probability.
