PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can expand the scope of utilizing a sulfur- containing material by preventing the outflow of sulfur in the sulfur-containing material and a solidification treating body which less elutes the sulfur to the environment and prevents the outflow of the sulfur by using the same method. PSOLUTION: The method for preventing the outflow of the sulfur of the sulfur-containing material comprising coating the surface of the sulfur-containing material by using a hydraulic composition containing 60 mass% one or more kind selected from a silica-containing substance having latent hydraulic properties and silica-containing substance having pozzolan reactivity and containing 2 to 30 mass% alkaline stimulating agent is used. The solidified treating body obtained by mixing aggregate and water in the presence of the water and solidifying the mixture comprises using the solidified treating body consisting of the sulfur-containing material subjected to the prevention of the outflow of the sulfur by the method for preventing the outflow of the sulfur of the sulfur- containing material as the aggregate.
