KARAOKE COLLECTIVE SYSTEM WITH FEATURED MELODY RETRIEVAL PROCESSING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which retrieves music according to a hummed or scat-inputted melody by effectively using a computer in a store as a karaoke collective system installed in a karaoke store having many user rooms.;SOLUTION: A management computer having received a retrieval query issued by analyzing a singing-voice signal including humming and scat that a user sings in a user room indicates proper retrieval ranges to melody retrieval means in respective user rooms to make them take part of retrieval processing, generates a retrieval report showing retrieval results of all the retrieval ranges by putting together the retrieval results reported from the melody retrieving means in the user rooms, and sends it to the user room system as the retrieval query issue source; and the user room system presents song names to a user according to the retrieval report and registers the ID of a song in a queue of playing reservations in the karaoke playing device in the user room when the user inputs a playing reservation for the song name.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
