PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery of high energy density and a non-aqueous electrolytic solution for use therein whereby it is possible to establish a high charge-discharge efficiency, excellent capacity maintaining characteristic, and excellent safety and battery characteristic over a wide temperature range. SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolytic solution for the lithium secondary battery is formed by dissolving lithium salts in a non-aqueous solvent, wherein the lithium salt consists of at least one of the salts expressed by the general formula (1): LiMaFn (1) where Ma is a metal belonging to Group 5 in the Periodic Table and n is a plus integer; or a mixture thereof with a salt expressed by the general formula (2): LiMbFn (2) where Mb is a metal belonging to Group 5 in the Periodic Table and n is a plus integer.
