BAFFLE SEAL WITH REMOVABLE RING ELEMENT AND BALANCE WITH THE BAFFLE SEAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a baffle seal for complete and easy cleaning.;SOLUTION: The baffle seal comprises at least one fixed sleeve-shaped ring element 11, and a cover cap 1 having at least one of the sleeve-shaped rings 10 and 12 movable in the axial direction of the ring element. The baffle seal is particularly used to seal an opening 31 of a housing 30 provided in a balance having a force transmission member 20 extended through the housing for transmitting the force. A fastener means 23 is connected at a fixed position to the housing 30 so as to freely fix the ring element 11. The cup shaped cover cap 1 forms a first part of the baffle seal, while the removable sleeve-shaped ring element 11 forms a second part of the baffle seal. Accordingly, if the cup shaped cover cap 1 and the removable ring element 11 are removed, only the fastener means 23 remains at the predetermined position as a component of the baffle seal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
