PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium zirconate/spinel compound multi-porous copact which is impoved in mechanical strength, acid resistance, the corrosion resistance and its manufacturing method.;SOLUTION: The calcium zirconate/spinel compound multi-porous compact which is thermally and chemically stable, is obtained by crushing and mixing a raw material powder, the main ingredient of which is calcite, magnesia, zirconia, and alumina or dolomite, zirconia, and alumina. By reaction firing it in the atmosphere after properly molding it, wherein the same mole calcium zirconia [CaZrO3] and spinel [MgAl2O4] are mutually dispersed homogeneously while suppressing the growth of grain. Therefore, the fired compact has fine structure, high strength and stable structure under high temperatures. And its manufacturing method is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
