PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent illegal flow out of performance data distributed from a server 4.;SOLUTION: An electronic organ 1 is connected with a personal computer 2 through an MIDI cable. The computer 2 is connected to the server 4 through a communication network 3. A control program is downloaded from the server 4 to the computer 2. The organ 1 is set to be in a trial listening mode by the operation of the computer 2. To the organ 1, it is prohibited to externally output data in a temporary storage part in the trial listening mode. The performance data first-encoded by the server 4 is distributed to the computer 2 and decoded there. A key is generated by the organ 1, and the performance data is second-decoded by the computer 2 on the basis of the key and transferred to the organ 1. When trial listening is finished by the organ 1, the trial listening mode is released and the data in the temporary storage part is deleted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
