MACHINING METHOD FOR WORKPIECE HAVING ECCENTRIC PART AND WORKPIECE HOLDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve machining on an eccentric part with higher accuracy and to prevent a flaw on a surface of a workpiece in a machining method for the workpiece having an eccentric hole or the other eccentric parts in an axial direction of a turret lathe and a workpiece holder to be used for the machining.;SOLUTION: A gripping claw 10 provided with a concentric gripping part 11 gripping a center of the workpiece at a main spindle axis and an eccentric gripping part 12 gripping a reference concentric part 1 making a machining reference for the eccentric part of the workpiece is attached to a chuck 13 of the lathe. After performing lathe machining of the reference concentric part of the workpiece and rough machining (a prepared hole 3a) of an eccentric part 3 by a rotary tool with gripping the workpiece 8 by the concentric gripping part 11, the workpiece 8 is delivered to the workpiece holder 20 attached to a turret 24 of the lathe. After receiving the workpiece, the workpiece holder 20 moves the workpiece 8 in an eccentric direction with movement of the turret 24 in the direction perpendicular to main spindle (an X-axis direction) and has the reference concentric part 1 of the workpiece gripped by the eccentric gripping part 12 of the gripping claw. Afterwards the lathe machining of the eccentric part 3 of the workpiece is performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
