PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwriting character batch conversion device capable of recording the handwriting information with the stroke information and the line information, and allowing a user to perform the batch conversion of the handwriting character at an arbitrary timing, to copy out an outline of a character string, and to correct the copied out outline. PSOLUTION: A coordinate value inputted in a handwriting input area is stored in a coordinate value memory 101 (S20), when the recognition command does not exist (S10-No) with respect to the coordinate value outputted from a coordinate input device 2SB1/SB, and a process is returned to S10. When the recognition command exists (S10-Yes), the handwriting character recognition processing is executed in reference to the coordinate value memory 101, and the character string is stored in a result memory 102 (S30). An indent position is calculated on the basis of the position of the character string, and stored in the result memory 102 (S50). Then the result is outputted to a display device 2SB2/SBin reference to the result memory 102 (S60). The indent position is corrected (S80), and the result is displayed (S60), and outputted (S90).
