PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce interruption and obstruction of functions of a tower by constructing a newly constructed tower or modifying an existing tower in a site of the existing tower, to repair the existing tower by sufficiently increasing the strength and rigidity of the existing tower, and to efficiently construct the newly constructed tower or a newly constructed structure by utilizing the frame of the existing tower.;SOLUTION: A plurality of columnar members 21a are vertically installed along the frame of the existing tower 1, the columnar members are connected to each other through beams 22 and diagonal braces 23 so as not to be interfered with the frame of the existing tower 1, and the columnar member 21a is further joined onto the plurality of columnar members 21a. The columnar members are connected to each other in the same manner as above, and these steps are repeated to construct the newly established tower along the frame of the existing tower. After equipment such as cables and antennas supported by the existing tower is transferred to the newly established tower, the existing tower is disassembled and removed. To modify the existing tower 1, the joining of the columnar member 21a is suspended during the operation to form a newly established frame, and the newly established frame is connected to the existing tower 1 to reinforce the existing tower 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
