PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing toner which can prevent a blister even in a coated paper subjected to surface coating treatment, which shows excellent release performance even in oil-less fixing, and which realizes both of high gloss of an image and transparency for an OHP, and to provide a method for manufacturing the electrostatic latent image developing toner, a developer comprising the above electrostatic latent image developing toner, and a method for forming an image by using the above toner. PSOLUTION: The electrostatic latent image developing toner comprises at least a binder resin, a release agent and a coloring agent. The number average molecular weight (Mn) of the binder resin ranges from 9,000 to 18,000 with ≤2.5 molecular weight distribution represented by the ratio (Mw/Mn) of the weight average molecular weight (Mw) to the number average molecular weight (Mn).
