METHOD FOR STABILIZING SURFACE MOISTURE OF COARSE AGGREGATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably reflect the surface moisture of a coarse aggregate to the metered value of a water amount.;SOLUTION: The method for stabilizing the surface moisture of the coarse aggregate comprises the steps of first previously introducing the coarse aggregate 1 in a net cage 2 as a water permeable bag as shown in Fig. (a), and then water immersing the cage 2 in which the aggregate 1 is introduced, in a water tank 3 as shown in Fig. (b). Thus, the surface moisture of the aggregate 1 once becomes the maximum. The method further comprises the steps of lifting up the cage 2 from the tank 3 as shown in Fig. (c), dripping the aggregate 1 in the cage 2 to remove excess moisture. The method also comprises the steps of then setting the dripped aggregate 1 to a centrifugal separator (now shown) as shown in Fig. (d), while the aggregate 1 remains introduced in the cage 2 as it is, and centrifugally separating the aggregate 1 in a room having a humidity of 90 to 100%. At this time, the centrifugal separation is performed by setting the centrifugal separation conditions such as a rotating speed and a continuing time until the aggregate 1 becomes a surface dry state, and then centrifugally separating the aggregate 1 under the set conditions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
