PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intraocular implant type stimulating unit which can generate bipolar pulses by a simple constitution and is highly sensitive, small, and low power consumptive.;SOLUTION: This is an intraocular implant type vision stimulating unit which artificially generates vision or a part of vision and is equipped with a pixel circuit to photoelectric-transducing incoming light to give stimulation signals to the retina. The pixel circuit is equipped with a light intercepting element to convert incoming light to electric signals, a pulse converting circuit to convert electric signals outputted from the light intercepting element to signals of voltage or current and convert to pulse signals with cycles corresponding to sizes of the outputted electric signals and to output, and a waveform shaping circuit to convert the pulse signals outputted from the pulse converting circuit further to bipolar pulse signals, and gives the pulse signals to the retina position via an electrode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
