PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio equipment that reduces the power consumption and improves the reception sensitivity, and to provide a mobile information terminal, a radio base station and a radio communication system. SOLUTION: An output detection section 112 detects the output power of a transmission section 102, a changeover control section 113 selects insertion/non- insertion of a high frequency filter of a transmission high frequency filter section 111 to between the transmission section 102 and an antenna multicoupler section 103 or the attenuation characteristic of the high frequency filter according to changeover control by a switch means in response to the result of detection by the output detection section 112. When the transmission output of the transmission section 102 is low, an unnecessary in-band insertion loss caused in the high frequency filter can be eliminated by the changeover control for non- insertion and the power consumption of the device can be reduced.
