PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently realize document retrieval for checking the correlations among a plurality of document databases.;SOLUTION: Respective document databases are provided with summary generating mechanisms and retrieving mechanisms, and connected as servers to a communication network. A client obtains a relevant document group among document groups in a specified document database through its summary.
