PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to reduce percussive noises at attraction operation of an electromagnet and avoid vibration evocation of a movable contact by furnishing shading coils mounted on a core pole-facing face of the electromagnet with function of impact relaxation using the shading coil itself as a buffering member.;SOLUTION: With the electromagnet device consisting of fixed iron cores 5, movable iron cores 6, and an operating coil and mounting a shading coil 10 on at least either pole-facing face of the fixed cores and the movable cores, the shading coil 10 is made of a cushioned conductive material blending fine powder (conductive materials) such as copper and carbon with elastic decaying material such as rubber as a basic material, and is arranged so that its coil end face protrudes toward the pole-facing face of the counterpart iron cores 6 after being insertion-coupled with cut-in grooves 5b formed on a pole-facing face 5a of the iron cores 5. Just before the movable iron cores 6 get collided with the pole-facing face of the fixed iron cores 5 at attraction operation of the electromagnet, they are hit against the cushioned shading coil 10 to absorb and alleviate the impact strength with the elastic decaying material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
