PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a pollution in a public basin such as a river, a sea area or the like when the quantity of confluent water is increased.;SOLUTION: Confluent water containing a pollutant introduced into a confluent-water control chamber is controlled so that the confluent water is made to flow, regulating a direct inflow to the screen side by a baffle, water is made to flow mainly to the screen side through the baffle while the velocity of water is increased, the pollutant is passed in an upper layer and water in a layer lower than the upper layer is removed and introduced from the baffle to the screen side. The baffle preventing the direct inflow of confluent water to the screen side and throttling the flow of confluent water and increasing the velocity of the water is installed into the confluent-water control chamber while a press screen passing only the pollutant in the upper layer, downwards removing the moisture of confluent water, the velocity of which is increased, is mounted into the control chamber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
