PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer film with which a light scattering layer having light diffusing performance suitable for a light scattering reflector to be used for a reflection type liquid crystal display device or the like can be very easily manufactured at a low cost. ;SOLUTION: The transfer film for the formation of a light scattering layer has an oxygen barrier layer having a rough surface and a photosensitive resin layer successively formed on a supporting body. The oxygen barrier layer and the photosensitive resin layer of the transfer film are transferred to the surface of the objective body and then subjected to exposure and development processes to form a light scattering layer having a duplicated surface pattern of the oxygen barrier layer on the surface of the objective body.
