PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide microbiological resources and compost having degrading action to substances having estrogenic action such as estrone and 17β-estradiol contained in night soil and refuse animal food which are raw materials of compost and to provide a method for preparing those and a method for using those (environment restoring technique). ;SOLUTION: A group of environmental estrogen degrading microorganisms obtained as a single or composite biological system by accumulation and culture from compost, night soil, refuse food, activated sludge, etc., is added as microbiological resources in a process for fermenting compost or before or after fermentation to obtain the objective compost having environmental estrogen degrading action and a low environmental estrogen content.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
