PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a cold rolling work roll in which the surface roughness and roughness shape of a roll can be easily formed without necessitating a high level of skill and with an effect in a minimum cost by blowing particulates to the surface of the roll, the cold rolling work roll, and a material to be rolled which is rolled by using the same.;SOLUTION: Defects on the finished surface of a reduction roll 1 caused by cylindrical polishing and finishing are improved by blowing the particulates each of whose diameters is 100 μm or less at a spraying speed of 50 m/second or more to the surface of the reduction roll 1 for cold rolling work after the cylindrical polishing and finishing and by setting the change of the surface roughness of the reduction roll 1 before/after the blowing of the particulates approximately less than twice.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
