PORCINE FAT PRECURSOR CELL LINE AND METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIATING AND INDUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porcine fat precursor cell line which is undifferentiated fat precursor cells normally, however, differentiated and induced into fat cells only on receiving an appropriate stimulus and initiates a fat synthesis, and to establish a method for differentiating and inducing the precursor cell line into the fat cells.;SOLUTION: This porcine fat precursor cell line capable of differentiation into fat cells is provided. The 2nd objective method for obtaining the established porcine fat precursor cell line comprises culturing cells obtained from the back subcutaneous tissue of porcine fetus with 58-93 fetal days in a serum-containing medium followed by cloning. The other objective method for differentiating and inducing the above cell line into the fat cells comprises culturing the above cell line in a relevant medium containing dexamethasone and/or a fatty acid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
