PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily analogize contents of recorded compression image data.;SOLUTION: A contents description meta data generating section 3a describes a feature quantity 103 of received image data 1 according to a pre-defined format to generate contents description meta data and outputs the contents description meta data to a contents matching section 3b. The contents matching section 3b conducts matching processing between contents description meta data 104 and contents description meta data 105 recorded in advance in a recorder 9 to calculate the similarity between the both by each feature quantity and outputs the contents description meta data 104 and a name of the contents description meta data 104 on the basis of the calculated similarity as a matching result list 5. A file name generating section 6 decides the file name based on the compression image data 7 from an entropy coding section 12 and the matching result list 5 and outputs compression image data 8 with the decided file name attached to them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
