PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supporting seaweed seedlings capable of maintaining foliaceous parts of the seaweed in a state to be hardly broken in the case when the seedlings of the seaweed are damaged before they express their roles as parent weeds or even when they are put in a place where a water current is rapid in developing the seaweed bed by using seaweed seedlings for transplanting, thus, enable to develop a three dimensional, large scaled and permanent seaweed bed relating to effective submarine use. ;SOLUTION: A seaweed seedling holder 1 prepared by connecting an anchor 13 and a float 14 to each end of a rope 12 to which the seaweed seedlings 11 are randomly fixed in the longitudinal direction is installed near a developing structure 2. The seaweed seedling holder 1 is held in a state to be swingable at a predetermined place, so it has little resistance to water currents and foliaceous parts of the seaweed seedlings 11 are hardly broken.
