PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning type FMCW radar with a reduced reception band and improved in reception sensitivity, capable of being miniaturized and reduced in price, and capable of correcting the measurement error in an azimuth (angle).;SOLUTION: A plurality of transmission antennas 14 and a reception antenna 15 are switched in synchronization with a triangular wave for modulation for a frequency modulation signal to be transmitted and received. Beat signals are outputted by a mixer 17 according to the reception signal and the frequency modulation signal, are A/D-converted for storing in a memory, and are subjected to Fourier transformation for calculating azimuth information and the like. An error in azimuth information that is generated due to Doppler effect by the relative speed with a reflection object and the switching of antennas is corrected by detecting the Doppler frequency.
