PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a free-car-return service device which enables a user of a rented car to freely leave the rented car. ;SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a position information transmitting means 14a which sends position information showing the current position of a rented vehicle detected by a position information detecting means 13 to a management side at a request to return the rented car that the user makes, a collection charge information receiving means 14b which receives collection charge information showing a collection charge needed to collect the rented vehicle at the position corresponding to the sent position information from the management side, a collection confirming means P1 which confirms whether the user makes the request to collect the rented vehicle according to the received collection charge information, a collection request generating means P2 which generates the request to collect the rented vehicle once the collection confirming means P1 confirms the request to collect the vehicle, and a collection request sending means 14c which sends the collection request made by the collection request generating means P2 to the management side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
