PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for absorbing and removing electromagnetic waves, that has the function of absorbing electromagnetic waves and grounding it to the ground and has a simple structure, lightweight and inexpensive, and can be installed at a location of complicated shape, and to provide a method for manufacturing an electromagnetic wave absorbing member. ;SOLUTION: A number of pores 14 are formed in a freely deformable bag 12, to allow electromagnetic waves to permeate it. A granular electromagnetic wave absorbing member 16 is packed in the bag 12, and a grounding conductive wire 18 is provided from the inside of the bag 12 to the outside. The electromagnetic waves are absorbed by the electromagnetic wave absorbing member 16 via the pores 14, and it is ground through the earthing conductive wire 18. The electromagnetic wave absorbing member 16 is made, by kneading with a vacuum kneading machine, 10-50 wt.% carbon, 20-60 wt.% ceramics, 5-25 wt.% dolomite, and 5-25 wt.% tourmaline, and the obtained substance is made into granular form, and then it is baked at 1,100-1,250°C for 8 to 12 hours in a non-oxygen baking furnace.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
