PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk unit and a disk flutter damping cover which have a protecting function of preventing a cover and a disk from coming into contact with each other by managing a shroud gap for deterring the disk from fluttering by a single component.;SOLUTION: The disk unit has the flutter damping cover 20 composed of a cylindrical side wall 20 of internal-diameter size which has a gap for restricting a flow of air generated by the rotation of the magnetic disks 12a and 12b opposite outer circumferential end parts of magnetic disks 12a and 12b and a top plate 21 which is formed connecting with the cylindrical side wall 22 and has the gap deterring the magnetic disk 12a from fluttering opposite the top surface of the magnetic disk 12a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
