PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent containing topoisomerase IIα inhibitor as an effective ingredient and inhibiting a shift of G0 age cells from G0 age to cell cycle or a shift of early embryo from G1 age to S age and provide a method for screening genes expressing resistance against cell growth-inhibiting action of the agent.;SOLUTION: The shift process from the G0 age to the cell cycle of the G0 age cells or the shift process from the G1 age to the S age of the early embryo and a shift process from G1 age to S age of culture cells in a growth cycle are found to be different in dependence to the topoisomerase IIα inhibitor. The information suggests the presence of genes resistant to cell growth inhibition action expressed by the topo IIα.
