AFFORESTATION SEEDLING, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR INOCULATING MYCORRHIZAL FUNGI TO TREE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing seedlings forming mycorrhiza associated with desired mycorrhizal fungi. ;SOLUTION: The method for producing afforestation seedlings comprises (a) a process of suspending the spore of mycorrhizal fungi in a liquid and subjecting the resultant spore suspension to infectivity maintenance treatment so as to maintain infectivity even in the presence of various microorganisms, (b) a process of bringing the spore suspension into high viscosity, (c) a process of coating the spore suspension on the roots of trees through soaking the roots of trees forming no mycorrphiza in the spore suspension, (d) a process of solidifying the whole or the outside surface of the spore suspension coated on the roots of the trees so as to prevent the spore suspension from crumbling down and (e) a process of obtaining seedlings forming mycorrphiza associated with objective mycorrphizal fungi through raising seedling of the trees passing through the process (d) in ridging having no mycorrphizal fungi excluding objective ones.
