PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to view a broadcasting program list even from a remote site and to reserve recording a broadcasting program inexpensively or brae of charge.;SOLUTION: According to the request of a portable terminal 1, a program information supply apparatus 5 creates a contents application consisting of basic applications, TV program tables, and the like, and downloads it to the portable terminal 1. At the portable terminal 1, the basic application operates and TV program tables are displayed on the display screen, so that the user can select a desired TV program. When the user selects a desired program and requests the recording preservation, the program is received by a transmitter/receiver 21 at home 2, and the recording reservation of the TV program is set by a recorder 22. When the setting is completed, the completion notification is transmitted from the transmitter/receiver 21 to the portable terminal 1, and further, is transmitted from the portable terminal 1 to the program information supply apparatus 5. The user of the portable terminal 1 does not have to pay the line change between the portable terminal 1 and the program information supply apparatus 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
