PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment gripping device for miniaturizing and simplifying a segment gripping structure, dispensing with a special operation mechanism, and capable of surely and safely gripping a segment, a segment gripping method, a segment suspending metal fitting capable of easily and surely preventing dropping out of the segment, and the segment having this metal fitting.;SOLUTION: This segment gripping device 1 is assembled along an inner wall of a tunnel, and is composed of a combination of a segment gripping member 3 having a large diameter engaging part 3c on the tip of a rod part 3b supported by a segment elector device 2, and a box-shaped suspending metal fitting 4 having a surface exposed outside, and integrally embedded in the segment S. The box-shaped suspending metal fitting 4 has a first opening 5a for inserting the large diameter engaging part 3c, and a slit-like opening 5b communicating with the first opening 5a, and slidingly guiding the rod part 3b. The large diameter engaging part 3c of the rod part is pulled up in an opening end position of the slit-like opening, and the large diameter engaging part 3c is engaged with the periphery of the slit-like opening from below.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
