PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor environment monitoring device having a compact shape requiring little installation space, installable simply on a desired place, and capable of measuring and displaying air dust data. SOLUTION: In this indoor environment monitoring device for monitoring an indoor air environment, equipped with a powder sensor for taking and measuring the suspended dust in the air in a casing having an intake and exhaust face for drawing and exhausting the indoor air, the powder sensor is equipped with a chamber for passing the air into a measuring part of the powder sensor, an air intake port for taking the air into the chamber, and an air exhaust port for exhausting the taken fluid, and the air intake port is arranged on the lower side of the air exhaust port. The measuring part of the powder sensor comprises a light emitting part and a light receiving part opposite to the light emitting part, and measurement is performed by the light transmission quantity through the air flowing between the light emitting part and the light receiving part.
