PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curtail energy loss by providing a heat exchanger having excellent thermal efficiency at a low cost. ;SOLUTION: The spiral pitches of fins 3 which are spirally wound around a metallic pipe 2 are made denser at the points 2a where the metallic pipe 2 is bent, by which the buckling during bending of the metallic pipe is substantially prevented and the bending of the metallic pipe 2 to a small radius is made possible. The use of a copper pipe which has excellent thermal conductivity and is formed thin as the metallic pipe 2 of the finned heat transmit tube used for the heat exchanger 10 is made possible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
