PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radiation shield vessel for a spent out-of-core nuclear instrumentation detector which attenuates radiation radiated from a spent out-of- core nuclear instrumentation detector to below the legal value easily in a short time.;SOLUTION: The radiation shield vessel 1 can contain the out-of-core instrumentation detector 7 inside and is provided with a radiation shield wall 2 surrounding the detector 7. The shield wall 2 is constituted of a lead plate 5 and an iron plate 6 and can attenuate the radiation dose equivalent from the detector 7 to below the legal value. Also, the radiation shield wall 1 is constituted of two end separation shield parts 8 and a middle separation shield part able to be separated. Inside the radiation shield vessel 1, a plurality of rollers 4 are provided so that the aluminum case 101 containing the detector 7 can be inserted from the door 3. With this constitution, the aluminum case 101 can be contained in the radiation shield vessel 1 easily in a short time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
