PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classification method of high precision in land use classification using an SAR image.;SOLUTION: In a classification processing process 1, a classification process is conducted by a maximum likelihood classification method using a training area by inputting a multi temporal SAR image 3 and a texture image led out by subtracting an averaged image led out from the SAR image 3 from the SAR image 3. In a smoothing processing process 2, a classified image 5 which is smoothed by using majority filtering to the classified image by the classification process is outputted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
