PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition for an optical material having high optical transparency without requiring complicated steps such as mixing of two or more liquids of curable compositions just before use, the optical material and a light-emitting diode using the optical material.;SOLUTION: This curable material for the optical material consists essentially of (A) a silicon compound having at least two SiH groups in one molecule and at least two carbon-carbon double bonds having reactivity with the SiH groups in one molecule and (B) a hydrosilylating catalyst. The component (A) is a reactional product of a polybutadiene (A1) containing at least the two carbon-carbon double bonds having the reactivity with the SiH groups in one molecule with a silicon compound (A2) containing at least the two SiH groups in one molecule.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
