PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cure accelerator which can remarkably improve the rate of cure of an epoxy resin with an amine-base curing agent, and a cure acceleration method by using it. ;SOLUTION: The cure accelerator for an amine-base curing agent for an epoxy resin is characterized in that it contains an active ingredient comprising a thiocyanate of a compound represented by the formula (1): (R¹)(R²)NNH₂ {wherein R¹ and R² may be the same or different and are each a 1-8C alkyl, phenyl, pyridyl, or may be combined together to form a 2-11C alkylene, or a group represented by -R³-R⁴-R⁵- [wherein R³ and R⁵ may be the same or different and are each a 1-8C alkylene; and R⁴ is O, S, NR⁶ (wherein R⁶ is a 1-8C alkyl), or NNH₂]}.
