PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latent curing agent for an epoxy resin, excellent in storage stability and heat curable characteristics.;SOLUTION: A production method of the latent curing agent for the powdery epoxy resin includes at least following steps (A)-(E): (A) a step of heating an amine compound (a2), an epoxy resin (a3), and/or a polyisocyanate (a4) in a solvent (a1) to react them; (B) a step of taking out a solid product (b1) prepared by reaction of the amine compound (a2), the epoxy resin (a3), and/or the polyisocyanate compound (a4) by removing the solvent (a1); (C) a step of preparing fine powder (c1) having a melting point of at least 60°C by crushing the solid product (b1) to have a volume average particle diameter of 0.1-10 μm; (D) a step of treating the surface of the fine powder (c1) by dispersing the fine powder (c1) in a solvent (d1), then adding polyisocyanate (d2) and an epoxy resin (d3) to react with heating; and (E) a step of removing water, the polyisocyanate (d2), and the epoxy resin (d3), which have been added as surface treating materials to the fine powder (c1), by filtering and washing, and then drying the fine powder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
