PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a porous material from a thermoplastic polyurethane resin and having a reticular structure freed from a dense skin layer on the surface part and being uniform as a whole.;SOLUTION: A method for producing the porous material from a thermoplastic polyurethane resin comprises the steps of: immersing a polymer dope containing a thermoplastic polyurethane resin, at least one water-soluble polymer compound selected from the group consisting of an oligosaccharide having at least one α-1,4 bond or β-1,4 bond, a polysaccharide, and a derivative thereof, and an oxygenous or nitrogenous organic solvent containing oxygen or nitrogen in the molecule in a coagulating bath containing a hydrophilic organic solvent; thereby extracting and removing the oxygenous or nitrogenous organic solvent to coagulate the thermoplastic polyurethane resin; and removing the water-soluble polymer compound and the hydrophilic organic solvent. The polymer dope is held in a partitioning member through at least a part of which the hydrophilic organic solvent can pass and is then immersed in the coagulating bath.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
