PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth retaining method capable of eliminating a strut or minimizing the number of steps by imparting the performance as self-standing earth retaining to a soil cement column strip earth retaining wall. ;SOLUTION: A truss structural member comprising two inner and outer chord members 5a and 5b vertically penetrated to natural ground side with a fixed pace in positions every one or two or more of a soil cement column strip 3, and a post member 5b and diagonal member 5c for mutually connecting the two chord members is used as a core member 5, and the core member 5 is buried together with the formation of two or more partially wrapped soil cement column strips 3 sufficient to bury the core member 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
