PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building foundation structure on soft ground which hardly sinks because the vertical load by dead weight does not largely act thereon as in a conventional concrete pile or concrete foundation and can keep horizontal stability even when receiving an offset load. ;SOLUTION: This foundation structure comprises a soil cement pile formed vertically to a soft ground layer and a lightweight concrete foundation integrated and formed including the head part of the soil cement pile. Cobble stones are placed on the lightweight concrete, and a concrete foundation (mat foundation) and a continuous footing may be further set thereon.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
