PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rise and fall engagement rod from being damaged due to lack of care, and prevent a door frame from being deformed and broken when the door is closed.;SOLUTION: In a fixing structure for the rise and fall engagement rod of an opening/closing door in which the rise and fall engagement rod is engaged with a holder of the door frame side or disengaged therefrom by operation of an operation handle, the rise and fall engagement rod disengaged from the holder the door is provided with a movable retainer body which retains the rod disengaged from the holder in the disengaged condition even when the door is opened. The movable retainer body is horizontally slidably supported by a guide member fixedly fitted to the end of the door. The movable retainer body is urged by an urging spring for the movable retainer body so that the fixing part engages with a part to be engaged of the rise and fall engagement rod penetrating in an opening of the movable retainer body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
