PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for converting slope displacement to the curvature change of an optical fiber without applying tension to an optical fiber sensor to the utmost to enhance durability, and to simply alter a displacement measuring range and measuring sensitivity corresponding to a request. ;SOLUTION: The optical displacement sensor 1 is constituted so as to measure the quantity of displacement by utilizing the change in the intensity of transmitted light due to the curvature change of the optical fiber, and provided with a mechanism equipped with a light non- attenuation circular curve part 4 and a light attenuation circular curve part 3. Both of the parts 3, 4 are constituted so that the optical fiber 2 is arranged in a slackened state to be wound around two discs 3a and 4a having different diameters, and constituted so that the diameter of the disc 4a of the light non-attenuation circular curve part 4 is set to 35 mmϕ or more not attenuating transmitted light. The diameter of the disc 3a of the light attenuation circular curve part 3 is set to 30 mmϕ or less attenuating the transmitted light, and the winding numbers of the optical fiber 2 in the light non-attenuation circular curve part 4 and the light attenuation circular curve part 3 are changed on the basis of the extension and contraction quantity of wiring 6 extended and contracted corresponding to the displacement of a displacement detection place arranged in a tensioned state and the winding ratio of the optical fiber 2 to both discs 3a and 4a is changed by measuring displacement.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
