PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nutrient preparation for cultivating mushrooms and a method for cultivating mushroom using the preparation, each capable of increasing the yield of mushroom. SOLUTION: This nutrient preparation has as the active ingredient diatomaceous earth on which three nutrient components composed of protein, saccharide and lipid are absorbed. The other objective method for cultivating mushroom comprises using the nutrient preparation.
